“Geoism” is a term that I use to describe the style of my work. My paintings have a wide range of textures created by sculpting earthen materials and using native dyes whenever possible. I also use a wide range of other media to express the textures needed to capture geologic concepts and the beauty of nature.
"Psychedelic Strata"

This 24” x 24” painting is a depiction of layered strata in colors and textures that are juxtaposed to those found in nature. I started a series of these psychedelic studies and liked the results. This painting is a marriage of my geologic topics with abstract colors. I find the end result fun and stimulating.
